an interesting piece of big day out trivia
taken from henry rollins's blog. he writes:

"I found out something
interesting tonight. Apparently, this tour was to have a bit of a
different line-up. Tool was supposed to headline the thing with the
Pixies going on before them. The White Stripes were third on the bill.
The Stooges were a last minute add."

OMG it could have been the pixies!!! *weeps*

still, iggy & the stooges were pretty fucking fantastic :)

they'll make it here though. eventually. i heard that they weren't keen to play the big day out. i'm thinking a nice big solo tour would be way better! :D

Henry Rollins was in town ? Sheit I gotta read me something other than "The Economist" and endless textbooks..

At one point in my life I looked exactly like Henry Rollins[*]. Tried doing one of his weight training routines for a short while. Handy hint, put a garbage can in the squat rack to catch the spew. If you're not spewing, add more weight to the bar and do 20 more squats. Repeat until you're too exhausted to stand.

he was here for the big day out - he replaced one of the bands which pulled out.
